The Military Diet

The Military Diet

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about the Military Diet, and decided to give it a go! Supposedly, you can lose up to 10 pounds in three days. (Which sounded a little crazy to me, but it also sounded really good because, ya know, who doesn't want to lose weight fast??) The whole concept behind the diet is to burn more calories than you consume. The foods you eat on the diet are supposed to kick start your metabolism. The first day, I felt good and refreshed and energetic! Now, throughout the diet, I drank a ton of water which probably helped with me feeling full. There are little tips and tricks to make the sometimes unappealing food bearable. For dessert that night, I heated up apple slices and put the cup of ice cream on top.
The second day was a little harder, not even going to lie. I was still optimistic though. I drank a ton of water and tried to keep myself occupied so I wouldn't focus on how hungry I was. The food wasn't as appealing to me for lunch so I had to consult the replacement sheet on the website. This girl just can't get down with cottage cheese y'all. I ain't into eating rotten milk. So, I replaced the cup of cottage cheese with half a cup of ricotta cheese. When you do the replacements, it isn't about the amount, it is about the calories. A cup of cottage cheese is about 220 calories, and half a cup of ricotta cheeses is also 220 calories.
Now let's talk about the third day. (Do we have to? *insert crying face*) IT WAS HORRIBLE!! By the end of the day, I was wondering how many calories my arm had because I was about to chew the dang thing off!! You barely eat anything on the third day. It is by far the hardest part of the diet. Not only physically, but mentally. All day all i could think was that I hadn't eaten real food at all!! I drank like a gallon of water trying to fill myself up. No luck. But after I weighed myself the next morning, I realized how much that hard day had actually paid off! I didn't lose ten pounds, but my goal at the beginning was to lose five pounds. I ended up losing seven! So, even though I almost ate my arm off, I feel the diet was a success for me! I'm not a big diet person, so I had a negative attitude going in, but I am very pleased with my results. I recommend this diet to most every one. Even though you get hungry, the diet is not an unhealthy one. I really just like my food and get a little dramatic when I can't have it. I will leave the link to the website down below in case any of you are interested in checking it out! Let me know how it works for you, or if you have any questions!!

XOXO,
Madison
